Vacations and Retirement

Episode Notes

Amy Walls is just back from a family vacation to Florida, and her time there really got her thinking about what she'd like her retirement to look like some day.

It's no secret that Americans spend much more time planning out our vacations than our retirement.  But you can take aspects of your vacation and see if it has long-term appeal for you in the longest vacation of your life - retirement.   For example, Amy's not a fan of Florida's alligators, but there's appeal in living in a place with no state income tax.

There are other more practical considerations too.  Do you want to live in a 55+ community with other retirees? Do you want to live near the ocean? Would a lake suffice? Amy and Jag break down some of the variables you cant think about while on vacation.
